Age Limits: Age is considered as on 30^th October 2016 and upper age relaxation is applicable as per Govt. rules for the candidates who belong to SC/ST/OBC/Domicile in the Kashmir Division of Jammu & Kashmir during the period of 1^st January 1980 to 31^st December 1989. The age limits other than these categories are

Minimum Age – 18 years

Maximum Age – 30 years

(Maximum Age for SC/ST – 35 years, OBC (Creamy Layer) – 33 years)

Educational Qualification: The minimum required educational qualification of the candidate to apply for this recruitment

For Jr. Stenographer (Rajbhasha):

- Matriculation or equivalent examination from Recognized Board examination with Hindi as one of the Subject or Matriculation with Certificate in Hindi like Prabhakar Praveshika etc.

- Must have speed of 80 words per minute in Hindi Shorthand and 40 words per minute in Hindi Typing.

For Jr. Stenographer (English):

- Matriculation or equivalent examination from Recognized Board examination.

- Must have speed of 80 words per minute in English Shorthand and 40 words per minute in English Typing.

For ITI Electrician Trainee:

- Matriculation with ITI in electrician Trade.

- Must have completed Apprenticeship training under Apprenticeship Act 1961.

For HEMM Operator Trainee:

- Matriculation with ITI in Fitter/Diesel/Motor Mechanic Trade.

- Must have completed Apprenticeship Training under Apprenticeship Act 1961.

- Must have valid Heavy Motor Vehicle (HMV) Licence.

Selection Procedure:

- Written Exam: This exam is objective type and consists of two sections (technical Part and General Part). The technical part consists of 70 Questions for 70 marks and General Part Consists of 30 questions for 30 marks. The time duration for the exam is 1 hour 30 minutes. (Final selection list is based on the merit marks of the written exam)

-  Trade/Skill Test of Shorthand and Typing (only for Jr. Stenographer posts). this test is qualifying nature only.
