(IT) or Bachelor in Computer Applications from recognized university. OR a) Matriculation from the State Board of Education/any recognized board. b) Diploma in Computer Engineering/Diploma in Electronics & Communication Engineering (3 years duration) from recognized state Polytechnic institute/College approved by AICTE. OR Graduate in the field of Electronics/Electronics and Communication from recognized University
Constable (Hardware)	Graduate in the field of Computer Engineering from Recognized University. OR a) Matriculation from the State Board of Education/any recognized board. b) 1 year certificate course in Computer Hardware and Network maintenance approved by NCVT with 1 year practical experience to be certified by Labour officer Concerned. (or) Certificate Course in Information technology & Electronics System Maintenance (2 years duration)/Information & Communication Technology system maintenance (2 Years Duration) approved by NCVT (or) Diploma in Computer Engineering/ Diploma in Electronics & Communication Engineering (3 years duration) from recognized state Polytechnic institute/College approved by AICTE.
Constable (Software)	a) Matriculation from the State Board of Education/any recognized board. b) 1 year Certificate Course in Computer Operation & Programming Assistant (COPA) approved by NCVT with 1 year practical experience to be certified by Labour officer Concerned. (or) Diploma in Information Technology (3 years duration) from recognized state Polytechnic institute/College approved by AICTE. OR a) 10+2 form the State Board of Education/Any recognized Board or University. b) ‘O’ Level Computer Course From NIELIT or DOEACC. OR Graduation/Post Graduation Diploma in the field of Computer Science/Software Engineering/Information Technology/Computer Application from a recognized University.

Physical Standards: The men and women candidate’s minimum height should be

Male – 5’ 5” (5 Feet 5 Inches)

Female – 5’ 1” (5 Feet 1 inch)

Application Fee: The application fee payment mode is both online and offline. In offline mode the candidate need to download the challan form from the official website and pay the fee in any branch of HDFC Bank or in Punjab Police Saanjh Kendras. Application fee is exempted for Ex-Servicemen.

SC/ST/BC candidates – Rs. 100/-

General candidates – Rs. 400/- (including wards of Punjab Police Personnel & Wards of Freedom Fighters)

Selection Procedure: The candidates who are applied will be called for Preliminary Medical Test/Drug Test/Dope Test and who will be qualified in this test will be eligible to participate in PET (Phase-I). The candidates who are qualified in PET will be screened for Height Measurement (Phase-II). The qualified candidates will be eligible to appear for written test (Phase-III).

Physical Efficiency Test (PET):

Male	- 800 meters race to be completed in 4 Minutes (Only one chance). - Long Jump (3 Chances) 9 Feet - High Jump (3 Chance) 3 Feet
Female	- 400 meters race to be completed in 2 Minutes (Only one chance). - Long Jump (3 Chances) 6 Feet - High Jump (3 Chance) 2 and 1/2 Feet
Ex-Servicemen	- 800 meters walk/race to be completed in 6 Minutes.

Written test Pattern:

Part –I: General Knowledge & Environmental Science (30 Marks).

Part-II: Quantitative Aptitude, Logical Reasoning, Numerical Aptitude & Comprehension (30 Marks).

Part-III: Post Qualification based (40 Marks)
